Revision of ISO 9001
In September 2015, a new version of ISO 9001 was published.
The International Organization for Standardization established a transition period of three years. After those three years, all accredited certificates under ISO 9001:2008 will be invalid.
Therefore, companies wishing to be ISO 9001 certified, should prepare for the 2015 version of ISO.
ISO 9001:2015 Implementation
The degree of change needed to update the current QMS to meet the new requirements will depend on each company. The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) recommends a GAP analysis of your existing QMS to recognize the points that need improvement.
